Going GreenRichards Building Supply has joined the ranks of concerned companies who are taking positive steps to reduce their energy usage. Delphi Energy Fund recently performed an energy audit of four Richards Chicagoland branches, measuring the lighting output by its current fixtures. Richards decided to complete a lighting retrofit which resulted in an increase in lighting output while reducing energy consumption by 33%. By taking advantage of ComEd's Smart Ideas rebate, coupled with the energy savings of the new lighting, it was easy to go green. More locations to follow!
