Supplier Values
Richards Building Supply values mutual integrity in its superior relationships with suppliers.
- We expect our suppliers to supply products of the agreed kind and quality, in the agreed quantities, to the quoted specifications, at the contracted prices and payment terms, shipped on the committed date, to the place and in the manner they have promised.
- We expect our suppliers to deal honestly with claims for loss or damage.
- Gifts or other emoluments from suppliers to employees of the Company are prohibited.
- In turn, we will honor our contracts, pay according to agreed terms, deal honestly with claims for loss and damage, and treat our supplier's employees decently.
Corporate Values
Richards Building Supply values being a good corporate citizen of the communities it serves.
- We obey all of the laws affecting our business including, without limitation, all regulations issued by the states in which we operate, OSHA, EPA, EEOC, Federal Tax and Trade laws, and such local municipal laws that are binding on our company.
- We expect all employees to comply with appropriate laws when carrying out their duties as employees of the Company
Employment Values
Richards Building Supply values mutual integrity in dealing with employees.
- We offer competitive, market-based compensation packages and conduct employee relations in a fair and equitable manner.
- We acknowledge the right of employees to organize under the labor laws of the United States and we negotiate with such unions in good faith.
- We make no commitment to provide the same type and level of compensations to unionized employees as is offered to non-union employees.
- We treat our employees with dignity and respect at all times and we expect our employees to treat each other the same way.
- We provide adequate instruction for performance of work.
- We aim to provide a safe workplace as set forth in the Employment Manual and as augmented by such additional programs to improve the Company's view of their work performance, and provide a reasonable process to correct unacceptable performance.
- We expect our employees to perform an "honest day's" work in return for their compensation, to ask supervisors for help in performing and mastering their job when needed, and to correct their job performance when necessary.
- We expect our employees to abide by the "Code of Ethics" embedded in the Employment Manual and as may be set forth in a Formal Ethics Manual at some future date.
- We expect our employees to work only for the Company. "Moonlighting" and competing with our customers performing construction work for others is prohibited.
- We expect all employees to treat the Company's Assets as they would their own property, conserving and maintaining tools, machinery, equipment, and good for sale property.
- Theft of Company property, or gross negligence in its use, will result in immediate dismissal from employment at Richards Building Supply.
Financial Values

- Produce the profits needed to compensate our providers of capital at appropriate rates
- Generate sufficient surplus cash to replace fully-depreciated or worn out assets
